Southeast Behavioral Health Services, Inc./COPAC, a chemical dependency treatment facility located in Brandon is seeking an Admissions Specialist. Full-time hourly-paid position, Monday through Friday with evenings and weekends as necessary. Must be able to travel when required.
Work closely with the Admissions Manager to facilitate the pre-admission screening process and admission of new patients to the facility. This includes screening for medical issues, financial payer sources and psycho-social needs. Responsible for ensuring accurate data collection/entry and opening an electronic medical record. Regular contact with referral sources and internal customers.
High School Diploma
Two (2) years experience with chemical dependency patients or related mental health with emphasis on the 12-step philosophy
Clean and valid Mississippi driver's license and current auto insurance
Computer literate
Ability to express information/observations both verbally and written in an accurate, professional manner
Customer service skills
Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time
Flexibility and dependability a must!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
