SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for all production operations on site to ensure that production within the Brandon facility achieves high quality, excellent customer service and meet cost targets in accordance with all ISO, RB global Quality and HSE Standards including State and Federal regulations.
The role carries responsibility for all production operations, EHS, and facilities management. This individual needs to influence effectively all activities in order to support the overall strategy of the plant.
This role requires knowledge and experience of production management, budgeting, team leadership, maintenance project management and planning, EHS management and continuous improvement tools, ensuring all appropriate resources are focused on the delivery of factory business targets through the plant's strategic and tactical goals.
POSITION DUTIES:
Responsible for all production operations by ensuring all products are manufactured in accordance with our quality standards and production schedule at minimum cost to reach excellent Customer Service level.
Ensure sufficient and flexible work processes are developed in conjunction with plant leadership team and then implemented flawlessly throughout all operations in order to deliver plant KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).
Lead and co-ordinate all production activities with engineering and materials team to ensure minimal unplanned interruptions to plant operations.
Ensure all production and maintenance operations are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with State and Federal regulations including company policies and procedures.
Define clear roles within operational team and empower production teams to take ownership for their work processes and improvement plans, to be fully autonomous to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
Responsible for operation and Repair & Maintenance budget preparation, justification and submission as per communicated timeline by finance.
Accountable to meet budget by managing operational team resources.
Ensure facility's compliance with hazardous waste management procedures
Accountable for site maintenance plan and effectiveness.
Lead data analysis and champion activities to meet targets and improve plant Overall Equipment Efficiency and waste within operations.
As a member of the plant senior management team, to be responsible for recommendation of Capital Expenditure and plant tactical objectives to reach ultimate goals.
Lead development and communication of clear project scopes to deliver and meet new product development timings as per responsibilities defined by NPD/EPD project implementation procedure.
Secondary contact with regulatory agencies such as Fire Department, EPA, OSHA and etc. ensuring that site remains in compliance.
Drive operational excellence across the site, developing and implementing best practices and making extensive use of Lean Manufacturing techniques to simplify workflows and reduce cycle times.
Promote RB values and integrity to all levels of the plant's organization.
Translate corporate strategic initiatives into operational requirements
Provide leadership to implement sustainable processes that deliver superior results.
Lead Plant continuous improvement projects in the areas of safety, cost, quality, productivity and service
Contribute to site's 'talent' development program.
Lead and manage the Operations training and people development program to ensure appropriate skills are available for current and new technologiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
