Registered Nurse - experience in addiction/recovery

This individual is responsible for the nature and quality of all nursing care delivered on that shift. The RN may delegate selected tasks but in doing so, is responsible for exercising that degree of judgment and knowledge, which shall insure the safe and therapeutic program of nursing care. He/she shall participate through an intra-departmental approach in meeting the nursing needs of the patients at COPAC, Inc. This person will perform services that are clinical privileged.

Responsibilities:
Performs comprehensive assessment of patient's health care needs (nursing) based on data collected through history, observation, bio-psychosocial, and analysis of diagnostic data.
Develops individualized and comprehensive nursing/medical/problem Treatment Plan according to patients' level of need and functional ability
Performs direct patient care activities by administering medications, observing and recording patient responses and medication side effect(s); makes rounds and administers interventions/treatments.
Performs various administrative, clerical and documentation activities to support unit activities.
Provides health education instruction to patients on various health issues. Provides in-service training and coaching for staff.
Communicates, as necessary, with other medical and departmental personnel to coordinate efforts, resolve operational problems and improve quality of patient care.
Supervises subordinate staff in the daily operations of the medical unit.
Provides surveillance and maintenance of infection control program.
Participates in required in-service training annually.
Provides an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion and respect for all patients.
Provides supportive counseling to individuals, groups or families to assist in identifying problem areas and provide direction towards effecting positive change.
Provides crisis management in a variety of community environments for all age and disability groups.
Maintains proficiencies as documented on the competency checklist for specific job function.
Performs other duties as required by supervisory personnel.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age, disability and cultural background of the patients served based on his/her qualifications and competencies.
Demonstrates safety measures, which prevent employee/resident accidents
Actively supports COPAC's efforts to achieve and sustain JCAHO accreditation. In addition, follows policies and procedures protocols, and standards of all COPAC funding sources and regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
Minimum Education - Graduation from an accredited educational institution of professional nursing.
Minimum Experience - Nursing school training with working knowledge of behavioral healthcare and experience in a residential recovery setting
Minimum Licensure/Certification - Current State License - State of Mississippi, Current Training in CPR, Current Certification in First Aid.
Preferred Education - RN Certification, AA or BS Degree from an accredited educational institution
General Nursing: Adolescent,Adult,GeriatricEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
